The current Hockey statistics keeping is good to start, however, If you wouldn't mind, I'm requesting a more specific hockey statistics keeping. The reasoning could help greatly with the general up keep of the leagues and could prove to be quite beneficial to other leagues using your system as well. As a hockey director, knowing when a player scored could show me if a player was holding back and only waiting until a certain point in a game to "turn it on" and thus take control of a game (meaning that player is too good for that specific skill level). OR the level of seriousness category of penalty could show me what type of player is in the league. IF a player is consistantly receiving "slashing", "Roughing" or "body checking" penalties in the adult league would tell me the player only cares about releasing aggression v.s. enjoying the recreation of the sport. With those examples in mind, I'm requesting that some improvements be made to the statistics format.
- Time of goal (meaning each goal will need a single column or row)
- time of penalty
- seriousness of penalty (What was the infraction? Tripping is not as serious as roughing, but both get 2:00).
I have attached a copy of a scoresheet from a system we used to use. Obviously I'm not asking for an exact copy of this scoresheet, as I like what you have right now, however, I do believe with a few adjustments, it could be made great!
