There may be times that you need to add Ice Cuts (Zamboni Time) while an event is happening. Within Dash we are using the Task feature to create the Ice Cut tasks for a specified time duration and assign them to a Staff member.
The first thing that will need to be taken care of is to set up your Task types. Click here to learn more about tasks. If you do not see the "Ice Cut" task as an option and would like to use it, please email us.
How It Looks
Creating a New Event
When creating a new event, you will still be able to create your initial Ice Cuts if you want to have one as a Setup or a Takedown event on the calendar. Click on the the Setup and Takedown box to expand the details and view the new toggle called "Include Event Task". This feature works for both the Booking Manager and one off Event creations. If you are creating a repeat event, the tasks will be assigned to each of the events.
- Select the Task Type
- Assign it to a User (staff member)
- Set the time for the first task event to occur
- Enter in how long the Task will be for
- If this task should be repeated during the event, select the time frequency (for example every 30 minutes)
In my example below, I have a 3 hour rental with an Ice Cut block before and after the event. I also added a series of Ice Cuts during the rental that will occur every 30 minutes starting at 12:30.
Viewing Existing Event with Tasks Assigned
Once you have saved and created the Event, there will be a tab on the left hand side called Tasks. If you click on it, you will see a list of Tasks assigned for that individual day. You also have the ability to create additional tasks if needed.
We have a couple areas to view Tasks in Dash. In the global search box, type in "Tasks". This brings you to a page to be able to create new Tasks and search for tasks that have already been assigned. By default, you will see all Tasks that have been assigned to you and by you. If you choose to search further, click on the "Search" button.
Another way to look at all the Tasks is the "Task Report". Since this is a Jasper Report, you are able to filter by date, location, and task type.
