This article is to help customers who would like to export their customers' saved credit card information out of Dash and to another third party. To do this you (the merchant) will need to work with PayPal, the third party you wish to export to and Dash.
- First, the merchant will need to reach out to PayPal Merchant Technical Support (MTS). Here you will request for a data transfer of your customer's cardholder information to the third party. The will ask the merchant to sign a Data Transfer Agreement (here).
- Once the PayPal MTS has been contacted they will want more information from the third party to verify the customer's cardholder data will be transferred securely and handled properly. This will usually require the third party to provide PayPal with an Attestation of Compliance (AOC) for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
- Once PayPal has vetted the third party and the merchant has signed the Data Transfer Agreement. The transfer process is ready to start. This is when you will contact Dash for a list of Payment Network Reference IDs (PNREFs) that will be provided to PayPal.
- Once PayPal receives the list of PNREFs, the process can take up to three business days to complete the transfer to the third party.
