In DASH, customer profiles can store pictures to be used for identification purpose. For example, you can choose to print your game sheets and include "pictures" so that your referee can more easily verify who should be present.
You can use pretty much use any web cam for taking pictures in DASH. Currently, Logitech cameras are recommended. Install the camera as recommended by the manufacturer and test that it is working before using in DASH.
No software is required to take pictures but you must have an up to date web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or IE 10+). If using a mobile device, Chrome or Safari should be used.
Taking Pictures in DASH (on PC)
- Go to the customer profile you are taking a picture of and click the user image or the customer's picture to begin.
- A box will appear on your screen. If this is your first time taking a picture, you may see a warning asking to access your camera. Click "Allow".
- Your camera will then show a picture inside the box. Click "Capture" when you are ready.
- Click "Upload". The webpage should now show the customers picture in their profile page.
Taking Pictures on a Mobile Device
You can now take pictures from a Mobile device. After clicking the "Take Picture" icon, you have the ability to either take a new picture or upload from your existing pictures on your device.
