Up-selling products gives you the ability to promote optional services or products when a customer is purchasing a particular product. When a customer adds a product to the shopping cart, that has products assigned to be up-sold, the customer will then see a list of those optional products or services.
For example, you can offer campers lunch, t-shirts, or extended day care. This feature can also be used to sell more items for birthday parties. You can offer Goodie Bags or assorted food choices.
To setup products or services to up-sell, Click on the "Settings" button in the upper right hand corner of your screen or start typing in the search box "products" until you see it and can select that as an option.
Search for the product that you would like to have the up-sell products tied to. For example, this may be a class, camp, or birthday party fee. This will be the product that will be added into the shopping cart by your staff or customer. Once you are on the product edit page, click on the Upsell Products tab on the left hand side.
Start typing in the Upsell Products box the beginning of the name of the product you want to have as an upsell and it will appear in the box. Click "add product button". These will now appear as additional items offered when this specific product is added to the shopping cart.
In the example below, we added some items we would like our camp participants to see which are also available to purchase while registering for their summer camp.
The product selected to Up-sell can be tracked for fulfillment if you enable Create Purchase Order on the Up-sell product itself.
